Jeep has rolled out its highly anticipated Meridian, marking its debut in the seven-seater 4X4 SUV segment in Nepal. Priced at an introductory rate of Rs 1.80 crore, the Meridian is available exclusively in the Limited (O) trim, boasting inspiration from the Compass model while delivering a more expansive driving experience.
Design and Dimensions
Built on the Compass model platform, the Meridian presents larger dimensions, measuring 4769 mm in length, 1859 mm in width, and 1682 mm in height. The SUV's extended wheelbase of 2974 mm ensures a more spacious interior.
Notable exterior features include LED projector headlights, a distinctive seven-slot grille, sleek LED tail lights connected by a chrome bar, and dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. The Meridian is offered in five vibrant colors: Brilliant black, Pearl white, Magnesio grey, Techno Metallic green, and Velvet red.
Inside the Meridian, luxury meets functionality with leather-upholstered seats adorned with the iconic Jeep logo, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the Meridian is equipped with a robust 2.0-litre four-cylinder Multijet turbo-diesel engine paired with a nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This powertrain generates a peak power of 170 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The SUV features a dynamic steering torque system, enhancing maneuverability and stability for drivers.
