The event, emceed by NASA Nepal Vice President Anil Kumar Baral, was attended by a host of prominent guests, including Minister for Youth & Sports, Teju Lal Chaudhary, lawmakers, senior government officials, and key figures from Nepal's sports and motorsports communities. The program kicked off with a flag-off ceremony, with the Chief Guest and other distinguished attendees leading the way, symbolizing the significance of Nepal Motorsports on the global stage.

Nepal Motorsports at the World Level

One of the highlights of the event was Nepal’s participation in the 2024 World Motorsports Games held in Spain. This marked a milestone in the country’s growing stature in the global motorsports arena. NASA Nepal took the opportunity to officially welcome Dhruva Acharya, the newly appointed Vice President of the National Sports Council, alongside other board members, as the country’s motorsports community continues to expand.

Recognizing Achievements and Contributions

Honoring Nepal’s Motorsports Stars

The Nepal Motorsports community celebrated the accomplishments of several athletes and officials who have represented Nepal internationally. Among the honorees were:

  • Diprash Shakya (Esports category)

  • Krishna Pd Poudel (Auto-Slalom category)

  • Pragya Kandel (Auto-Slalom category)

  • Yadu Raj Lamichhane (Team Manager)

  • Tika Ram Yatri (Media Delegate)

In a gesture of support for the continued growth of Nepal Motorsports, Diprash Shakya, Secretary of NASA Nepal, donated his rally vehicle to the association. This generous donation, aimed at advancing motorsports development in Nepal, was witnessed by several dignitaries, including Minister Chaudhary, MPs Yogesh Bhattarai, and Udaya Samsher JBR.

Speeches Emphasizing Growth

In their speeches, prominent figures such as Govinda Bhattarai, FIA World Council Member; Tanka Lal Ghising, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council; and MPs Yogesh Bhattarai and Udaya Samsher JBR, spoke about the importance of Nepal Motorsports and how NASA Nepal has played a crucial role in fostering its progress. These speeches highlighted the commitment to further developing motorsports as a key sport in the country.

A Night of Celebration and Unity

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dasarath Risal, President of NASA Nepal, followed by a dinner where attendees celebrated the progress made and looked forward to more successes for Nepal Motorsports.
