The event, which took place in the capital, was designed to celebrate the country’s growing presence in international motorsports and the achievements of its athletes.
Key Figures and a Flag-off Ceremony
The event, emceed by NASA Nepal Vice President Anil Kumar Baral, was attended by a host of prominent guests, including Minister for Youth & Sports, Teju Lal Chaudhary, lawmakers, senior government officials, and key figures from Nepal's sports and motorsports communities. The program kicked off with a flag-off ceremony, with the Chief Guest and other distinguished attendees leading the way, symbolizing the significance of Nepal Motorsports on the global stage.
Nepal Motorsports at the World Level
One of the highlights of the event was Nepal’s participation in the 2024 World Motorsports Games held in Spain. This marked a milestone in the country’s growing stature in the global motorsports arena. NASA Nepal took the opportunity to officially welcome Dhruva Acharya, the newly appointed Vice President of the National Sports Council, alongside other board members, as the country’s motorsports community continues to expand.

In their speeches, prominent figures such as Govinda Bhattarai, FIA World Council Member; Tanka Lal Ghising, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council; and MPs Yogesh Bhattarai and Udaya Samsher JBR, spoke about the importance of Nepal Motorsports and how NASA Nepal has played a crucial role in fostering its progress. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dasarath Risal, President of NASA Nepal, followed by a dinner where attendees celebrated the progress made and looked forward to more successes for Nepal Motorsports.
